Retrospective:

Game of Thrones Season 7 photo main actressGame of Thrones Season 7 contains original material that has nothing to do with the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series. Season 7 was a prep-up for the final 8th season and it was mainly focused on Daenerys Targaryen aka the queen of dragons arriving in Westeros with her army, the Unsullied and with her 3 fire-spitting dragons. In the meantime, Jon Snow left Winterfell to meet with Daenerys so they can join forces to defeat the white walkers and everything else that stands in their way (even if its romance?).

The biggest oppositions were the Lanisters, Cersei, and her twin brother Jaime who didn’t want to surrender Kings Landing. Of course, the dragon queen wanted to burn the whole city down but luckily one little Lannister was on her side convincing her not to become like the mad king or like Tyrion said the queen of ashes. Tyrion ended up instructing her with wrong information about the castle and Kings Landing probably in fear of losing his brother.

This season had a lot of issues with timing, for example when Jon Snow ended up trapped by the white walkers and Gendry managed to go back and send a raven so Daenerys could come back and saved Jon all in a bit over a day. Also, Jon’s boat traveling to Dragonstone many times during this short season, and if you watched the series you could easily tell that from the wall to Dragonstone you need a few weeks of traveling. In the end, it is a very good season, Dany finally arrived, and the plot is finally going its way and sadly towards the end of the series. Stark family is finally getting back together despite the Sansa-Arya thing. And what is a season of Game of Thrones without someone dying, we lost Thoros of Myr and Viserion was taken over by the white walkers(the lost of Viserion was more heartbreaking than anything). The most fun/weird part of the whole season is Bran finally confirming that Jon and Daenerys are related and the scene where they still end up together.

In the very end, Game of Thrones Season 7 was good, to say the least, neither season is perfect neither is this one, but spoiler alert its always going to be better than the final season for sure.
